Healing Little Hearts, a UK-based charity that conducts open-heart surgeries on children desperately in need has partnered with 
, a non-profit organization with a focus on fighting infant and maternal mortality in low resource countries.
The partnership is aimed at conducting free open-heart surgeries on at least sixteen children at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
On Monday, 18th October, at exactly 12. noon the first surgery commenced on the first patient, a five months old male.
The surgery which lasted for several hours was carried out successfully.
