The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo on has commissioned the Administrative Office of Works Department of the Hospital as well as the conveniences at the Estate Unit of the Works Department.
The six-room toilet facility which was the first to be commissioned, according to the Head of the Department, Engr. Oluyinka Olujobi is built after over two decades the unit was created.
He also disclosed that but for the approval of the CMD, the erection of the toilet may have been lip service. He thanked the CMD for putting the welfare of staff on the front burner by adding comfort to the ambience of the place.
The CMD while commissioning the toilet facility described Engr. Olujobi as “a new breed who has come with a new broom to sweep clean” he enjoined those who will make use of the toilet to do so responsibly.
Also, at the commissioning of the renovated administrative office of the Department of Works, the Head of Department, Engr. Olujobi pointed out that, “the department is now better repositioned to work efficiently. For over twenty years, this place has not been renovated, so this means a lot to us.”
The CMD retierated his primise to give all the offices in UCH a facelift, so that staff could have a good working environment.
As at the close of business on Thursday, 11th June 2020, there are three active cases of COVID-19 being managed in the hospital.
The University College Hospital, Ibadan has been playing the leading role in combating the spread of the coronavirus and will continue to render excellent care and services to all our patients. The Hospital equally enjoins everyone to adhere to the required infection prevention and control measures prescribed by the WHO and the NCDC, such as physical distancing, regular hand washing, use of hand sanitizers & face masks.
